A Discovery Day in the Les Saintes Archipelago
After a boat ride along the leeward coast, where you can admire the majestic and mountainous landscapes of Basse-Terre, we begin the crossing of the Saintes Channel to reach the charming island of Terre-de-Haut.
Terre-de-Haut: Picturesque and Enchanting
The adventure begins with a stroll through the charming pedestrian streets of Terre-de-Haut, where you can wander among local shops, taste Creole specialties, and soak in the island's peaceful atmosphere.
Afterwards, we offer you a guided tour of the island in a mini-van with our local partner. This excursion on Terre-de-Haut will take you to Fort Napoleon, perched on a hill, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Les Saintes Archipelago. After admiring this stunning perspective and exploring this historic site, you will continue your island tour.
You'll discover picturesque landscapes, the famous red rooftops of Saintes houses, beautiful beaches, and hidden corners that add to the unique charm of Terre-de-Haut.
Beaches and Snorkeling
After lunch, we'll head back out to sea for 3 coves around Terre-de-bas and Terre-de-haut, including the famous Pain de Sucre beach, one of the jewels of Terre-de-Haut. This idyllic spot is perfect for a refreshing swim and snorkeling in a crystal-clear bay. Admire the coral reefs and colorful marine life that make this spot a true snorkeling paradise. The Sugar Loaf beach is well known, but discovering it from the sea is an even more impressive experience. As for the other two coves, we'll leave you with the surprise for the big day!
Throughout the sailing between the two islands, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the many islets that form the Saintes Archipelago.
Return to Basse-Terre
Around 3:30 p.m., we will set sail back to Basse-Terre. On the way back, weather and timing permitting, a stop at the Bouillante hot bath is planned. These natural thermal springs offer a unique moment of relaxation — a perfect way to end this adventurous day.
As we sail back towards Pointe-Noire, you will have the opportunity to admire a breathtaking sunset over the Caribbean Sea.
We designed this excursion to Les Saintes to offer you a full day of discovery through the Les Saintes Archipelago.
You will get to explore two gems Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas while enjoying a variety of activities: swimming in natural hot springs, snorkeling in exceptional spots. The day will beautifully conclude with a magical sunset over the leeward coast.
An ideal excursion during a stay in Guadeloupe, departing from côte-sous-le-vent, for an unforgettable adventure where everything is taken care of so you can simply relax and enjoy.

Some things are to be seen, others are to be experienced…
Our excursions belong to the second category. No photo, no video, no testimony can faithfully transcribe the emotions and sensations experienced on board.
It is important to us to share our love for these giants of the sea with you by allowing you to observe several species during your excursion. It is not uncommon to observe entire groups of dolphins.
For this, your captain will call on you, he will need your eyes, your patience, but also your alertness.
When a sperm whale does us the honor of being observed, there is only very little time left on the surface. Indeed, the sperm whale can stay several hours in the depths, being able to descend to more than 1000 meters depth to feed, it only comes up for a few minutes to breathe on the surface. It is at this precise moment that you will have to open your eyes wide to admire its superb tail and try to immortalize this magical moment.
In the middle of the journey, a short break is planned with a juice and water offered on board, while admiring the beauty of the Basse-Terre landscapes and the immensity of the Caribbean Sea.
